Rear extension foundation - Chigwell

This Chigwell rear extension moved on from the groundworks to the foundations. We dug the foundation trenches through the clay, working tight to the house and along the new footprint.

A mini digger cut the trenches to depth, including the deeper dig beside the existing wall, and a tracked dumper took the excavated soil out to the skip. Drainage pipework was set out on site as the trenches went in.

Once the trenches were dug, we poured the concrete foundation, leaving a solid base for the extension walls to build off.
