Rear extension concrete - Chigwell

This Chigwell rear extension moved on to the concrete once the walls of the new footprint were up. The ground inside the blockwork was filled with hardcore, ready for the slab.

Timber shuttering was set along the edges. Concrete was mixed on site, barrowed in and poured inside the walls, then levelled off to a flat slab beside the house.

A further pour inside the blockwork shell brought the floor up. Levels were checked with a laser, leaving a solid base for the rest of the extension.
